I am extremely inspired together with your writing abilities as neatly as with the format for your blog. Is this a paid subject matter or did you customize it your self? Anyway stay up the nice quality writing, it's rare to peer a nice weblog like this one nowadays..

Thank you. You made my day. I place images everywhere at the screen but also paint text and polygons at it. Therefore the autoscale feature makes everything confuse because the drawing operations are pixel oriented.

Man I love Planet In A Bottle! I've actually had a bug before concerning achievments. I missed 'Philanthropist Expert' (my bad) but had a population over 4000 within 7 days (1 week) to get the 'Civilization Builder Expert' achievement and had the pop up notice notifying me when I opened the app but when I look in my achievements list the star isn't glowing indicating my accompplishment....? What gives??

Either way I wanted to thank you for the wonderfully fun and simple simulation game! I love it! Congrats on your success with it and here's to your future success!

-David D.-

P.S. Can we maybe see a 'Zoom' feature added? It'd be great to be able to zoom in and out and maybe see more details on the buildings and cities. Thanks for listening.

Yeah, that's why there's the recycleBitmaps() method. It's my understanding that as long as you recycle your bitmaps in your onDestroy(), everything else will be taken care of with the GC.

I'm glad you like it! I'd love to make a new one and push updates for PiaB, but I'm currently spending a ton of time at my day job. I've been spending my free time on some new stuff that I hopefully can release soon.

Caching Drawables also carries the potential of memory leaks unless the cache and drawables dies with the activity or an activity state change, or you specifically clear it's references to views and/or context.
